Happy Resurrection Sunday!

Our hearts are filled with joy as we've remembered the truth and hope of the Gospel--our sin is so serious that the son of God had to die, but we are so deeply loved that Jesus willingly went to the cross to conquer sin and death so that we could be forgiven:

For if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised either. And if Christ has not been raised, then all our preaching is useless, and your faith is useless. (1 Corinthians 15:13-14)

We had fun dying eggs with a kit given to us by a friend--Ethan enjoyed learning the steps of the process. Unfortunately, Mommy and Daddy left the eggs out on the counter, so this year they will only be decoration.
Today's Easter celebration began by sharing breakfast at the home of friends.  We then attended church with some of Eric's colleagues and shared brunch with them afterwards.  They enjoyed hiding the eggs for Ethan's hunt.
His 45th egg!  Well, 42nd--we lost three out there somewhere...
Regarding the adoption, we are still waiting.  Our profile has been shown to two different families, both of whom choose to bless families who had no children.  Though we weren't chosen, we are grateful to have been able to practice goning through the process of evaluating whether or not to be shown to a family (which is harder than you might think given all the factors to consider).  We are confident in God's timing and good plans for us.  Thanks for thinking of us, checking in, praying and waiting with us.  We'll keep you posted!
