Daddy vs. Ethan...Spoon War, round 1
March 1, 2010-Niskayuna, NY. After several days of mildly increased fussiness, tongue gymnastics and increased chewing, virgin parents determine baby is either teething or in need of more food, or possibly both. After thorough evaluation, and with consideration of Aunt Sara's recommendation, Mommy and Daddy decided that trying rice cereal couldn't hurt the situation.
Large plastic bib with drool pocket applied, rubber coated spoon readied, rice cereal mixed. Ethan loved every bite! He ate two servings (totaling about 2 Tbs.) and kept all 4 extremities moving in gleeful circles throughout the event. Captured below, is the first (of many) battles between Daddy and Ethan to determine who would control the spoon. Ethan used the element of surprise, but Daddy came back with two-handed determination and won the round.
